Digital Memory Palace

Took the family to the home maker centre where Good Life gym was, at New Farm. Looked at couches and dining tables - Julie and I butted heads with the style and how big it needed to be. AJ smacked his door into the car next to us - I was able to mostly polish the mark off. 

Dropped the boys off with Opa and Nonna and took the Everest to go and look at furniture at Aspley.  Caught up with Thomas for lunch at the gap, saw his new olive X5, and showed him the new house being built. 

Drove to see Lauren and Jon - traffic was a mess and it took 3h. Stepped in what I think was pee/poo flowing across a path after I jumped out of the car for a pee Built the new computer with Jon - had constant battles, struggling to find the pci bracket for the GPU, having issues with the pump etc. We gave up after 4h - only a few minor leaks to fix and we should be fine. 

Breakfast with AJ after dropping Kai off at daycare. Had waffles at Hawthorne.  AJ then went to Zayne's party at Bounce. We talked to Jack's dad about his boat.  Took Dad and Tiz for lunch at Mary Mae's under the powerhouse. Was squished on a bench, but managed to nab a table inside. We played at the park - it was terribly hot and still as the boys played with Opa and Nonna.

Heavy storms all morning - I took AJ downstairs and we moved my old PC into the new case, intending it to be his computer. We went swimming with the nephews at Ba Ngoi's house - Evan kept letting the air out of the watermelon. I went for a late run, between the storm fronts. The sunset was beautiful. 

Christmas day - the boys unwrapped their presents around the small fibre optic tree, AJ got Mario Wonder and Kai Luigi Lego starter kit. I made rolls, burning out the stand mixer with the sheer volume.  Nina and Al's for Christmas lunch - it was mega hot and smokey sitting outside with Alan as he cooked.

Quiet day - Took the boys to do some scootering after the rain. They kept on riding through the puddles on the way to the netball grounds. We had to leave early as Julie was getting eaten by mosquito's 

To the Glen Hotel for lunch to celebrate Anna's 40th birthday - the girls cooed about her daughter Indy, and the boys played in the tiny park. Enzo lost his plushy over the fence, so I jumped it to get it. AJ's first tooth fell out at the hotel as he wiggled it. 

Met with Caz and got her up to speed on the learning minutes for Blinkist - caught up with Drew and ran him through the mess of the new SKUs and the approach for partners.

 Session on the User Management Page and public API - went through the design with AAA and Quan, and identified what we'd need to do to make it all work.

 Really long day - start at 7:30am with Kevin, then wrapped up at 11:30pm with what was supposed to be FR and the US - but Josh never turned up.

After the gym - went to see Julie and the boys at the newer pool. Went to paddock for lunch - Julie's turkey and cranberry toastie with brie was amazing. Went out with the soccer lads for drinks and dinner. 

Walk to Broadbeach to get coffee - hiding from the sun as Nina and Evan bailed. Got a lovely massage, then a sauna, before the rest of the afternoon lounging by the pool. Sat on the day bed talking to Al.  Turkish for dinner - sitting on comfortable outdoor couches while we watched a Ferrari F8 park next to us.

Checked in for our weekend at the GC casino after a lunch trip to Pacific Fair. After taking AJ to the toilet I came back to find Julie and Kai missing. She had gone back into kmart to get band aids for the graze from. The fall he'd just had off the wooden artistic playground.  Buffet for dinner - I watched one lady take the entire tray of oysters after it was restocked.

Julie went out for Imogen's 40th so I made the boys French toast and took them out on their scooters at dusk - after a day holed up in the air con. AJ went too far ahead - which I had to repremand him for. Kai stacked it on the grass level change between the two pads of concrete at the netball courts.

Regrouped with Clem on the Product changes that were brewing - he successfully guessed what was going on and shared with me his news that made me sad. 

Finally got a review of the common content proposal. Was a shame Flo wasn't there - but it was nice to have new Blinkist faces, with Alex reaching out after to be more involved. 

First all hands after the redundancies - was nice to have a positive message from the leaders. Shared a wine with them downstairs when they were done with recording. 

Watched them setup the EMEA all hands - had to sneak out the lift to minimise noise. Accidentally went to the ground floor. Late call to sort out the new bundle launches. 

First proper session with Sascha - we talked about his girls being quite sick in the winter, and giving it to him. 

Coffee in the Enchanted Forest with Den and Carolina. He had just shaved his head - I realised the park is near where I run to in Ashgrove. Went for a drive in the i30N for lunch to Dayboro pub. It was nice seeing him - I'd been feeling so flat/sick of late. I sat by the new bridge to Kangaroo Point in the botanic Gardens to take in the view mid run. 

Went to the shops to see dad, Tiz, and Jas. We had coffee at the bagel shop - AJ won a Blooper in a claw machine. We talked Tiziana's mums passing, and Jassies wedding preparation. 

GraphQL session with Eric and the team - who were eager to get it moving. 

Caught up with Thomas on the partner issues I was seeing with the new packaging release - he had partners under control, but was also frustrated at the mess. 

Caught up with Clem for a mental health check - he was super frustrated with things going on and how it made him feel. 

Teddy bear picnic for AJ on the lawn at the school. Watched him stand at the back and sing - ducking and being silly behind the kids.

Good session to get endorsement on my proposal for common content. Ran for the first time after weeks of being sick - was slooowwww- 

Birthday party for Jacob at Ferny Grove water Park - I had to park on the dirt. And hid under a tree to hide from the sun. Saw Diego at Xavier's birthday - they sing a Spanish birthday song. Enchanted garden in the evening - Julie had the time mixed up, and we waited for Al. Evan kept on bonking me with the picnic rug

Saw Alex after a Trip to bunnings to get grinder disks and an extension cord. We talked in the shop about Bec and life, as Kai run around.  I then took the steel fence down at the back, and re bled the brakes on Julie's car. 

Work Christmas party at the office - there was hardly anyone there, and the DJ was blasting the music. Talked about how uncomfortable the seats in the boardroom were to a CSM who'd never been in there. He went up to test:

Body corp meeting to vote on the basin - watched Saad get up in the face of the elderly body corporate manager. We had to intervene and de-escalate 

Ran through content production with Tom from Blinkist. It was good to finally see the admin tool, to understand it better. 

Catch up with Braden on Stripe - went through all the legacy accounts with failed payments.
