Digital Memory Palace

First day with clear skies after the flooding - ran towards the hospital but the lights were out and a repair vehicle was in the middle of the street. 

Stuck at home with the flooding - got my shoes wet going to the garage to work. Had to use my boots for the trip back down after lunch. 

Ran in the rain - saw the house opposite the kindergarten flooded on the bottom. Floor.  Had to cross over the creek where the basketball half court is - all other routes were blocked. 

Argument about resourcing - grabbed three beers and drove home, battling aquaplaning on the highway with the heavy rain. 

Picked AJ up from school in the rain - noticed a white Ionic 5 waiting in the pickup line 

Day in the office - had lunch with Thomas at Sunshine kebabs. Got the gozleme and talked maybe selling his house. 

Got a call from Ba Ngoi asking to be picked up when it rained with the boys as she was picking them up from school. She turned left at the lights - not understanding I told her to meet me on Frederick St. 

HR team were all on site in Brisbane - buying coffee for people in the office as the machine was still broken

Breakfast at The Deck - drove away and hid from mum when she went to the toilet. 

Nan's 80th birthday lunch - watched granddad tear up during mums speech. Went back to Nan and granddad's house - he offered me a fishing rod for the boys, a slim composite rod with a worn cork handle and a sheen of a oiled surface on the reel 

Drove from home to Forster - got caught in intense sheets of rain coming into Forster from the highway 

Struggled to hear out of my right ear running. Thought it was my earbud.  Turns out it was wax in my ear - but busted my ear drum trying to get it out. 

Escalation at work around a graph being shared - ended up being nothing, but took me by surprise all the same. 

Played indoor soccer and noticed John waiting for our court. Ran over and said hello to him by taking the ball away from him after the game. 

AJ's teacher gave us his reading log and instructions - lots to do for AJ.  Julie and I watched the replay of the super bowl half time show with Dr Dre

Drew a game of snakes and ladders on the concrete under the shared garage. I made up a dice roll to send Julie down a snake 

Drove to mums to see her new place for the first time. Took the boys to the beach for fish and chips - watched mum try and walk them on the sand, but they both jumped into the waves.  She had to fish Kai out a few times. 

Missed the lunch order - so ran across the road to get red rooster. I managed to get back to work just in time for the regular lunch order to arrive 

Geremy came and did an AMA at Go1 - and made everyone laugh by talking about our antics with the hire car in France 

Had to have a long talk to Nath about work and the potential for separation. 

Jon made me a plunger coffee and we shared it while on the same meeting 

AJ's first day of school - I struggled pushing the pram up the hill. Saw Diego on drop off, organising a beer together in the afternoon. The boys played play dough and had ice blocks. 

Went to the park at Hamilton with the damn water play with Julie's friend group - came back with the fish and chip lunch to find both boys soaked. Kai then got lost in the spiral slide +eventually climbing out of the top.  I went for a run on the 6km circuit around Victoria Park - but did it backwards. 

Julie went to park run for the first time - I made us scrambled eggs with some cut up salami for her return.  Went to our block and noticed the driveways were in - then went grocery shopping, buying connesiour ice cream and cones - as it was half price 

Helped the new CX team and their designers raid the work swag cabinets to get clothes - by finding the key and opening the doors. 

Dinner with the CX team at West End for Lebanese food. I was late, delayed by a call that went over. 

With Clem, we met with Craight to learn more about what he's doing. Struggled to ask questions amidst his talking 

Lights went crazy flickering in the office after a lightning strike. I turned them off - then couldn't get them back on.
