Home early - then went out for a run down to Downey Park and back. Stopped on a bench at the start of the path near home, and talked to Sebastian from Net Research to let them know we'll stop using them regularly. F1 race tonight - best result yet of 6th. Vito got the shits with me for hitting him once (it was close between us - not deliverable), then a second time we nearly hit when we both took weird lines through turn one. I told him to chill.

Went to the gym - saw a police office driving a blue Focus RS as I crossed the road. Talked to Jared about starting at GO1 this week while walking home from the gym. Practised some tracks/cars on Assetto Corsa in the evening.

Home from work early feeling crappy with a sore neck - Julie came and picked me up, and I arrived home to Ba Ngoi and AJ. They had a roast pork bahn mi waiting for me for dinner. I laid in bed with AJ watching TV most of the evening until my neck felt better.

Breakfast with Dad, Tiz, and Tim at Chermside (Cafe 63) to tell them about baby #2 - was OK, coffee was bad so Tiz and I walked up to Archer to get another coffee after. Maxim's birthday party after lunch - first time at the YMCA at Bowen Hills, AJ loved jumping into the foam pit.

Looked after AJ while Julie went to see the Lion King movie with Christina - we moved his teepee into the lounge room and sat under it. Later, we went to Ba Ngoi's house and told her that Julie's pregnant with #2.

After work I went to the gym with Luci and Ric for the first time. Did some basic powerlifting, then Ric and I had Betty's Burgers.

Home with Julie to see Dad who came over - he brought AJ hot wheels, then proceeded to trick AJ into eating his chicken by pretending to give him a cookie, then stuffing his mouth with chicken when he opened up.

Sat in the park near work for a lot of this morning handing over to David - was good to get a lot of that off my mind and accept what I believe to be happening. Picked up AJ from day care with Julie, he played by using the yellow hand on a stick to tap my shoulder - which I reacted to and made him laugh.

Tried to find a new podcast today - started on the 'The Project Management Podcast', which seemed ok - highlighted I haven't kept up to date enough with PMBOK. Gym after work, new PB on incline press at 3x85kg, while SMS'ing Jon about his new case. Andy called me when I got home, was great to hear about his promotion and payrise - he had such a shitty time last year, I'm glad all has turned around.

Had a really tough day - called Geremy to chat about what to do about the work situation as I walked around Gasworks to clear my head.

First time at the skidpan in the 86 - Jared and Nath participated with me. Dave Boyle turned up half-way in, brought me scotch classes as a gift for my birthday. In the afternoon I changed David Foster's brakes - had an issue with the rear left, was a loose bolt that I felt very stupid about.

Looked after AJ while Julie went on a 12 pubs of Christmas bar crawl with Holly and Kim. We watched the Flintstones live action movie for a minute, before he got bored.

Beer after work with David at Range Brewing, bumped into Luci and Ric who were there catching up. Talked for a few hours, then walked home

After work squash with Shaun and Ben, then sat around to chat near the counter and listen to stories about the challenges we're all having. Told the guys about my concerns with my role and future, Shaun's keen for a lunch to see what we can do. Drove home, cooked some rice and washed up, then had Julie's leftover Vietnamese from my birthday.

Home at a reasonable time - raced Donington GP in the GT3 class, managed quali in 12th, which was awesome considering the field of 20. Did well in the race for a while, until I spun 10 laps in - then it just fell away as I over-drove, messed up my pit stop, then spun just at the end to lose 2 spots to finish last in 20th.

My birthday - woken to a presence of a 1kg jar of minced garlic from Julie as a joke. Rough day in the office - had a D&M with David about what's going on after finding the HR system has been updated so my staff aren't pointing to me without any real comms. Pissed off - so went to the gym and did my first 2x 100kg bench - followed up with a nice 90kg clean and jerk. Home, and Julie cooked a Vietnamese meal for me - and we ate while we listened to the Vietnamese Aladdin soundtrack.

Updated my channel MABA at work, was a nightmare to change the ratings - took me until 7pm to finally finish it. Home late, then watched the Silverstone F1 race. AJ was full of beans jumping all over me as we watched.

Boxing with Alex this morning, Nath turned up after. We all went to Alex's for breakfast after. Prepared Ba Ngoi's master bedroom for painting, then drove to dad's to drop off the pressure washer.

Michael and Carissa's baby shower, then onto Stuart's bbq at the Bardon house in the evening. Talked mostly to Kirsty (Andrews wife), and Louise - and a bit to Geremy, who was sporting a beard.

Went to pickup dinner at the Chinese shop, and came home to eat before a guy was coming over to buy Julie's fitbit. I noticed a guy standing out front when I got home, so I said hello. Walked in and checked my phone, and realized it was the guy who was buying the fitbit. Ran downstairs to meet him with it.

Long talk about strategy with David and Andrew after reading through the Shopify Fulfilment announcement. Home to watch the final two episodes of season 3 of Stranger Things.

Took AJ to day care in my car as Julie was getting her intro PT sessions - quickly rushed to Teneriffe to park, then rushed into the office for the call with Magento - but it was postponed.

Sausages and vegetables for dinner when I got home, AJ was stealing my sausages as I watched the Mighty Car Mods German special with the MK4 Golf.

Home from the Gold Coast via Harbour Town. Julie went to the gym in the afternoon while AJ and I made caves using blankets and sheets on his bed, then on the clothes horse.

Woke up and watched the marathon finish - had AJ standing on some fence blocks so he could see. He and Alicia ran around crazy, then we had a quiet day in - before dinner at Mermaid Beach tavern where I got to see Jon for the first time since he came back from Finland.

Woke up and drove to the finish line for the Gold Coast 10k to see Andy and Justine who ran. Had breakfast at Broadbeach, then relaxed at the unit - having a BBQ where AJ and Alicia ran around the table going crazy, and playing with the long leaves

Drove to the gold coast after work for the marathon weekend. Stopped at KFC near movie world for dinner - AJ found a gap behind the bins he kept squeezing through

Yearly skin check this morning - first time to the new clinic for Dr Fawcett out near the hospital at Annerly. All came up OK. Drove and parked in Tenneriffe, horrible reverse park up-hill that the clutch didn't like. After work I ran back to the car, drove to the office, then parked and went to the gym. On the way back to the car from the gym - saw a drunk guy park his car in the bank carpark, and follow me into the building. I should have checked he wasn't going to drive it home.

Julie found out the Skoda needed a new clutch today - had to walk up after work and help her with the baby seat in the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV. GT3 race in the evening with the SimXP guys at Vallelunga - did ok, but just couldn't help but eventually cook the rears and spin the GT86. Was super frustrating finishing 23/23 in the first race, and 21/23 in the second.

Sent my first tri-weekly Engineering update at Temando. Happy with it, bit we'll see what the reception is. Spent too long finding a font for the logo.

First time Julie went to the gym - she left before we woke up, leaving me an SMS. I watched the first 30m of the Austrian F1 race over breakfast with AJ, then left for work. In the evening I started learning FreeCAD - really struggled to get moving with it quickly. Tried TinkerCAD, then moved to download Fusion360.
