Finally caught Juan - but he was on the tube going to pick up his grandmother. I told him we'd catch up again soon. 

First MBR prepared for content life cycle - felt good to be adding that in. Very limited resource to make any progress, however. 

Took Kai to Dreamworld - he really wanted to do the ball pit. I was surprised at how good the sky theatre thing was

Took Kai out for sushi after we dropped AJ off at Jazzie's and caught up with Alex and Dave Foster. Dave gave Alex the racing wheel

Went to DFO to get Nike's at the sale - but all pegasus were out, even with the assistant helping me.  Went to Adidas and got another pair of those instead. 

Session with Carrie and Raphi on voice of customer inputs. The tool worked out well. 

Session with Silou and Eric to talk about their translation work, and content life cycle overall. Didn't get a lot of confidence in their approach. 

Reviewed the solution for Award support into learn - aligning on the approach to reuse the archivement object. 

Good session with Braden and Luke around Docebo and partner decommissions. 

We put up the Christmas tree with the boys - I grabbed a power board but the extension cord was already in the box.

Mums annual Christmas lunch - I spent a lot of it messing around with my glasses turning people into AI

Caught up with Nathan - ran him through some designs and thinking around 1user to help him with some context. 

First session on joint content strategy - made some good progress on aligning towards a joint vision using the strategic discussion format. 

Taiko drumming performance for Kai - he did much better this time. The teacher wasn't a bad MC/comedian either.

First 1:1 with Angel on voice of customer - she had a lot of energy and it felt really productive. 

Session with the CONI team to intervene on their AI gateway solution. Focusing them back on those initial two fields. 

Took the boys to a replacement swimming lesson - Kai and I took selfies while AJ was finishing up. Grazed my door on the gutter.

Cousins Santa photo at brookside - followed by a visit to see Adam and Dalia. Took Adam for a spin in the Tesla - to try and convince him of it. We are schwarma he picked up from Underwood that was amazing.

First session to get help from Ash on feature gating with Gaz - but he had a conflict and couldn't make it. Went to track dance for AJ after work - he was tucked at the back, as was I as I snuck in behind the parents

Caught up with the COPS team and started modelling their funnel. 

Rallied around Databricks cost CVE with the data team - thought it was my queries but turns out it wasn't. 

Session with Caz on the customer journey - share my thoughts on the funnel metrics. 

Caught up with the EMEA CSM team - shared some csat results, which the team were saddened by. 

Long run - then first time mowing since before winter. We sat down and booked the Sydney trip

Took the kids to Aqua Warrior for Evan's birthday - the water was full of tiny jellyfish. We lost the kids we were supposed to be watching immediately. 

Stopped by No No's to get food on the way home - the carpark was weird with thr tight turns and multiple levels. The shop was really neatly laid out - and I was surprised at how good it was. 

Incepted the reliability signal steam with thr LINQ team - was really hopeful after seeing how engaged and proactive the newer members like Trung and Kim were. 

First session with the EMs in th miro style meeting format of Jon. Was nice to be chatting with them on topics - particularly around our agreement on complexity. 

Review of the Beam 1.0 contract - was glad we got a good response given how much work went into it.

Caught up with Brooker for lunch at Brisbane Brewing - great to see he's doing well and enjoying himself. I could see he really missed someone to bounce ideas off. Dropped him back at his office after. 

Took AJ to park run but it was cancelled - so we went to south bank for a run and I got him ice cream and pancakes after.

Setup the retro arcade at home - Julie got stuck into bomberman with the kids.

Halloween by myself at home - as Kai and AJ were at Arthur's birthday party. Got a few kids - but far, far less than the candy we had built up. Most were street kids - other than the group of girls all dressed the same. 

Early session on the Admin Metric - chat went to looking for Golden customers to model against. 

Forgot about the meeting with the IPMs in Brisbane - rushed in late, catching up WITH Shreya, Andy, and Hien. 

Wrapped gogether - noticed Jasneet crying, I suspected news on Hoa but wasn't sure if I should ask. Drove home in the pouring rain - frustrated that the sentry mode had chewed up 26km of range. 

Morning run with Joe and Sang - then a long day of conference. Took the after party yo my room, where we got told off by security.

Arrived at Gogether and went for a run out to the headland, and along the coast. Super hot, but it was nice to jump into the plunge pool after (after bumping into Sang)

Parkrun with Den - then battled to get the server working. Same with his PC. Took them home to sort out, and managed to get the pc done for him after swapping the ssd 

Good session with Shangzhi on the Beam/Insights team strategy - and overall challenges were seeing. 

First software leaders with Jasneet - really good discussion on the overly complex business rules. Was good to hear it was a consistent issue across us all. 

Chat on CPD - that turned into a deep inquiry into why we're not reusing Awards. Great conversation. 

Prags' first BusTech MBR —he did a grease t job of it. There was a number of new faces, I hadn't really met before there. 

Tech design review for assign - Rohan/Kamu surprised me with a really nice job of putting it together. 

Took the boys to the bike park after Julie got home - they mimicked the other kids who were doing the long run up from the nearby hill.

The boys chose to go to the beach - so we went to Kings Beach and enjoyed a day in the water. Kai was intimidated, but warmed up over time. 

Left early to get the kids from school as Julie had left for her girls weekend. They opted for Vietnamese for dinner - and to watch Thai Fantastic Four.

Reviewed the CSAT results - some interesting findings as we went through it together. Needed to wait until I aligned with Kristina/Laura to release it - but they were away this week.

Session with Ben M on how we should approach parent portals long term. We aligned that they shouldn't be used for anything other than access.

Session with Jasneet on roadmap in the office - we didn't get much into planning, as I got her across the pain that was change with the layered logic.

Did our Learn focused showcase - was good to see the parts coming together.

Got the ram into Dens server to get it alive and working. Started building it up.

Tried to get the energy out of the kids by having them play dodgeball with socks inside the front room.

Well being day - drove to the beach, calling mum on the way. The day turned into hanging a TV, having lunch with her and Al, and then sneaking for a beach swim after. I went and bought new shoes - Ultraboost. The first time I'd switched from Nike.

First time meeting Junaid - his beard reminded me of the Amish 

First team session with Jon's new direct reports - we made a team contract after talking about how we want to operate. 

Session between PANDA and the Data team on the enrolment/assignment reporting risk - followed by a late call with Solene to catch up and start to explore acquisition opportunities. 

Released Phase 2B of restrictions, only to find issues with auto add and LRM. Paulo rolled it back. 

Dad came over and watched the Broncos narrowly win the premiership. We setup the arcade controller that Geremy gave AJ at half time

LAN party at Jungle - really loved the art on the walls through the office. We played 'Golf with your friends' - AJ joined in with us.

LAST conference. Left my phone in my car, effectively leaving it unlocked. Not a good start.  Bumped into Todd, Bec, and Jon - was great to see them all.  Did my talk - and packed out the room, which I was chuffed with. Won the Meta Glasses at the after party - and tried to win the Lego. 

Ran my Reforge Insights enablement - sent the recordings to Chun who got a kick out of them. 

Farewell call with Shannon from Curation - she was off to a partner and seemed to be in a good place. It was a journey to see her change her life, her health, and now her career. 

First budget session with Eva and Jon's new team structure - she checked in after to make sure it ran well 

Session with Mish and Si to accelerate the notification templates. Saw some frustration from Si about it

Spent the day at home practising and refining my talk for LAST conference. Using Gamma and GPT to iterate and hone. 

Julie came with me to park run as the kids were at mums - which was really nice. 

Rallied with Braden and Huu to get the Docebo report sorted. Had to fall back onto my dashboard as the source wasn't going to be able to merge what we wanted. 

Met Damien, the new designer. He seemed really bright and proactive. Good to see him setting boundaries early on. 

API design review on the user facets work - felt a bit harsh on Viv, but thanked her and appreciated her responsiveness. 

Long session with Laura on Beam naming —we finally got to a good place. 

Cleaned up after camping - then took the boys to Chermside to look at phones. Wasn't convinced on any phone, so came home and cleaned the tent.

Packed up the site, and went up the tracks to the Falls. Kai was scared but walked up the rocks with us. AJ was brave enough to jump in from the rocks.

First day camping with the kids - found the camp grounds, setup, and went to the creek to skip stones and swim. Den taught AJ how to fire spin, which he loved. And the boys had fun cooking damper.

Felt absolutely shattered as I drove home - but met Dennis and we went out for groceries and supplies ahead of camping. We didn't quite finish watching Conan before we drifted off. 

Learning day - but got stuck supporting partner issues for most of it. Though did make a great prompt generator. Spoke at Agile Brisbane in the evening, was good to catch up with David - who I gave a lift back to Kelvin Grove.

Last CLT MBR before Matt folds in under Jasneet. It feels like the end of an era. Long tracking talk with Alex B and Terry teaching them about our strategy. 

Called dad to tell him that I won't be making it to the funeral - felt horrible talking to him, and sat in the mud room on the verge of tears about her and about AJ missing out on the school her interviewed for after doing such a wonderful job. 

Had to skip Brisbane Brick expo as it was sold out - so took the kids to the park and bought them cakes. Bought a tent with AJ - ended up with a huge one after getting up sold after standing in one at Anaconda. 

Long day working in my presentation for Agile Brisbane - then hung out with Alex. He drove the Tesla around for the first time.  Got a call from Geremy to see if I wanted to join him at the afl. We snagged a park right outside the gabba, after asking if a guy in a ute if he was leaving

Caught up with Shalinee after a long while - after she reached out for a chat. Was nice to be invited in to help. 

Finished the million tickets for statsig Gate clean ups - felt good to finally get that moving after all this time. 

Session with Jasneet about the structural changes - I just tried to reinforce how much I believe in her, and that she's got it. Terse discussion on data dictionary - felt I was struggling with the data leaders on simple and iterative direction. 

Long session with Joe on attributing 3rd party consumption and distribution models - got some good thinking done. 

Sorted out editor mile stones by lighting a fire under the team - focusing back on early delivery and iteration. Alex B sent some kind words praising the outcome. 

Fathers day - dad came around for breakfast, we tried to cheer him up after Mary Anne's passing. We made eggs and bacon - Tiz loved the crispy bacon, but others hated it.

Took AJ to Dreamworld after seeing dad to help with his Mustang. Heard about Mary Anne, so went back to see him.  Jas turned up, and told me she was pregnant and sick - but there was no heart beat.

Lunch & Learn with Vanessa on Beam and Metrics - good session, plenty of turn out and engagement. I feel we built good trust with Laura. 

Hong booked a public API review for endorse - lots turned out and gave her good feedback. She did a good job to turn it around quickly. 

Long session with Tara on assignment and enrollments - realised the design gaps, so got working on definitions.

Lud's last day - really sad to see her going after six and a half years. I felt bad that I couldn't drum up enough people to attend her farewell drinks. 

Session with Ben to learn about Easy Leanring Delivery - so as to not make the same mistakes again. 

Took Julie to breakfast at Never Been - firs time she had been to the office. Then ended up at Ikea, picking up some Kamboocha equipment. Took the kids to play on their scooters - bumped into Adith and Ashwani at the playground.

Lunch with Diego and Laura, and their friends Stefano and VI? The food took forever to cook - but it was really nice to hang out, relax and enjoy each other's company. The boys played Playstation and handball - I did well to beat the kids at handball. 

Session with Shangzhi and Vanessa to prep the training. We aligned after a lot of discussion - Shangzhi's laptop ran out of battery and we squeezed into a booth together. 

Final farewell to Ricardo - I was really sad to hear he was going after so long together. He seemed to be in good spirits though 

Had office hours for Content Restrictions - Hannah mixed up the times so I ran with it and felt I did well. 

Troubleshooted the intercom data with Mukesh and Brett. Manage to sort it out and get over a million records sorted. 

Took AJ to Marist for his interview - I was really proud of how he went in the interview, with lots of well considered responses. 

Sanded the table and chairs down with Julie - she did bits and pieces, but at least helped. They turned out well after oiling them. 

Spent the day on AI trying to design the study. Struggled to get the design to what I wanted.

Session with Gary on statsig mess - holy heck it was all over the place. 

Rushed to the school to catch Kai's second taiko drumming performance. Had to run from Woolies - my legs/shoes felt so heavy. Saw Diego and Laura come in after we arrived. 

Ran through the DAP with CONP and Jeffrey - to sort out the WCAG data. Realised the Epic already existed as CONP-1

Soccer was cancelled so I went to Dave's after work to drop off the steering wheel. His place was odd - a house that was split up into rooms. He even had a disabled friendly bathroom. 

Walked to El Cafe, the old Temando coffee shop, with Julie while we looked at couches. Had a very sharp older gentleman help us at Nick Scali, then watched the F1 movie - in a tiny but lovely cinema with recliners at James St

Took the family shopping and to bunnings - got oils to stain the table, and did that while I watched DDP lose to Chamiev in UFC

Took the boys to the Ekka with mum - saw Tim at his haunted house, but didn't go in. It was Kai's first time - we stood eating strawberry ice creams as a carnie fleesed money off folks with a paintball gun challenge.

Parent teacher interview for Kai - saw his very excessive finger spacing, on what was a very good sentence. 

Software leaders - good session where people shared examples of where they corrected behaviours in line with out values.

Catch up with Abhi from our Partner after he'd moved around a surprise calendly booking multiple times - always good to see him and talk tech. 

1:1 with Lud where she shared that she'd be moving on from Go1 - will be sad to see her go. 

Session with Hao on synthetic testing for Learn - was good to see someone taking initiative. 

Walked to the tennis court cafe with the boys, Taygh followed us. Went to eat st with mum/Al, and jas/Laughy - picked up a bunch of canoli that were delicious.

Took the boys to the AFL - parking at Kim and Holly's and walking over. We lost by 2 points - it looked over by the end of the third quarter, but we came back to nearly win.
