Digital Memory Palace

Put the Christmas tree up with the boys - the first time we've had a proper tree to decorate together.

Had a super lazy day after the really big week. Played Planet Coaster while Evan looked over my shoulder. 

Drinks after work at the Ship Inn - Julie, Nina, and Al turned up to say hello and talked to Chau, before we went to the river stage to see glass animals. 

Session on engineering norms and culture - felt like we came together really well as a team as we captured post it notes on the glass downstairs. 

Workshop on what our structure should be - glad to see we talked about the important things, like playback.  Had a good chat to Holger at The Borrow about what next, and a nice catch up with Mon. 

First day of workshops - I was super frustrated at being cornered about the content roadmap that I didn't agree with. Let Jon know my frustrations, before we went to bowls for dinner where I watched Holger and Jon's kids run in the rain. 

First day of workshops on site - got to see everyone and squeeze into the limited spaces. Talked to the leaders about how we should run the culture workshop. Drinks at the river bar with MongoDB, where I ate cheeseburger spring rolls and I laughed as Hannah licked a glass on a tray of glasses. 

Had Chau, Nikk, Casey, and Matt all over for dinner. Cooked up a BBQ for them all, and Sat around drinking beer and relaxing ahead of the workshops in the week ahead. Chau brought us a calendar. 

Julie was away with Tina and Loz, so I had a movie night with the boys - letting them watch Sing while I exercised on the bike. Set up the WiiU - showed them how to play golf together. 

Met the property manager for the ols office - and picked up some whiteboards and a TV for our workshops. 

Met Khulan - a journalist from Myanmar studying as a BA. the Russian elements of her accent clashed in my brain with her Asian looks. 

Met Lucie from Content sourcing - her face looked so familiar. Her bright red lipstick stuck in my mind. 

Reviewed the V2 deprecation plan with Drew - he's supportive, but noted the effort involved. Well bring it to the on site next week 

Incepted the content quality work - seemed to go OK. Got a little bit of friction, but everyone was supportive. 

Lunch at Ba Ngoi's - felt rubbish after blowing up the watermelon. Went back to snooze on the couch while they swam. AJ walked into the steel card reader and gave himself a mouse.
