Digital Memory Palace

Watched the first episode of season 2 of house of the dragon - I felt very uncomfortable to watch them kill the kings son at the end. 

Worked late to finally sort out the new 1Content API release. Some minor bugs, but otherwise good. 

Birthday party for AJ at Newmarket maccas. I talked to a dad about sim racing, while the kids threw balloons at the ceiling intake vent.

Had Tim and Emma over for lunch - we ate the home made sandwiches and platter I put together over some wine. The boys had fun dancing the moves that the Avatar character does when he wins a round in Nickelodeon.

Worked late and was feeling crap - to get the FY25 strategy work done. Ended up realising I missed Dennis' birthday drinks as I went to bed at midnight. I felt awful. 

1user vision session with Shangzhi and Mark - asked Shangzhi for his help, as I don't think we have the expertise it make it happen without him. 

Pitched my hack idea at the group session - it resonated well. I was the only person with visuals. 

AJ's front tooth came out while he was in bed in the morning - we had to go searching for it. 

Long day on PR FAQs and strategy with the CLT leaders. It went over their head a little. Talked to Mark for nearly two house on it all. 

Coffee with Dennis followed by a park play - he told me about wanting to buy a coffee van.  Enzo's party at Ba Ngoi's - are a stack of pizza and sprint rolls and felt horrid. Cooked the sprint rolls under Ba Ngoi's tuition - got it wrong on what to add to the Nuc Mam. 

Ran a 5k - my heart rate was low for the first half, then really high for the second. I was kinda worried. Setup the sim for Kai to mess with - running demo's while I tweaked the visuals.

Worked with Dester and Pete to find a path forward on the mobile app concern with the API break. 

Tried to make the Marty Cagan product tank night - but was too slammed, and also a bit apathetic to networking.  Sad to see photos of everyone enjoying it after the fact. 

Feedback from Kristina on how I'm working with Hannah - she was lovely, but reminded me to stay in my lane as I was drifting out of it. 

'Collection' object session with Tim and Chau. It was very much a 'why are you talking to me about this' session 

Time with Flo after he got back from his driving holiday - good to see him back. He was frustrated by being tethered to his van due to his dog. 

Dave and Vin over for lunch - huge loved playing with the trike and rode up and down the street with the boys. We practised throwing the ball - AJ slowly got the hang of it. Ran up the range behind us, found it incredibly steep going up and down but found the lookout.

Hung up the bikes in the garage, seemed to pull the wall stud out a little in the process. The kids played with the scooter gang while I worked.  Buritos with the boys and dad - who came around to watch the footy. Super low scoring game between GWS and St Kilda. 

Late night promo doc for Chau's team member - wrote up a how to guide for it, that created a strong buzz of feedback/views. 

First 1:1 with Jon in Berlin - got a positive GMC which was nice. He seemed to skirt around be only 'exceeding' and not in the top 5%, where I was just pleased with exceeding. 

Freezing temperatures in the office on the last day of workshops - stupidly got the frozen Acai bowl for lunch.

Workshops, and then presented to the exec. Felt OK about it - limited feedback, but no negative feedback. I thought AB hated it when he took off his glasses and rubbed his nose. Dinner at Helenika - enjoyed the custard filled spring rolls. 

First day of workshops - kicked around the PR FAQ for the platform with Matt. Ended up at Felons, rushed back into the hotel full of huge art to get my jacket. 

Took the boys to the dirt track near Nina and Al's - AJ struggled with the bike, but Enzo picked it up quickly. Later ran to the Barden Bowls club to the mums group drinks.

Cut the boys hair - gave AJ a modern mullet. He had a really crusty scalp

Beer with Em at the Hope and Anchor - she told me about her divorce from Nick, her new guy, and the experience of joining Canva. 

MBR night - had Kristina turn up for the first time, which was nice to get her input. 

Dinner with the MongoDB folks at NOTA. Had a pretty loud English guy with spiky hair and tats talking a lot, while his near anorexic Columbian wife was bored next to him. The AM weirdly complemented my physique. Smelt of kissing ass. 

Review of the Absorb solution - good approach to solve, but still poor separation of concerns - building it inside our stack.
