Digital Memory Palace

Watched F1 before work - Riccardo managed 7th in the Alfa Tauri. Didn't havr breakfast as I felt ill and constipated - but after finally pooping I had a banana. 

Morning swim and play at the Bardon private park - the boys were being weird laying down on the tennis court. Took them to dads. Had a nice beer with dad, then we shot some hoops with the boys.  Kai fell off the couch trying to be spiderman when Den and Carolina were around. Had to take him to hospital to glue it together.  We played a frogged clone on the tablet in the hospital while we waited. 

Made a big snakes and ladders game in the garage - had to jump out of the way so Brandon could drive in, and reverse into his garage. Victoria Park to watch the open air movie - Kai was initially scared, and Evan cold.

Drinks at the Charming Squire with Kyle, Mark, Jon, Prags, Chris H, and the AAA team. Kyle told us about his struggles with steroids, and the affects on his body, and the journey to getting clearance. Came home early, I was wrecked. 

Caught up with Luke - he told me he had decided to leave. I was really sad to hear that, but understood that was right for him.

Lunch with Drew - which turned into lunch with a whole group including Ric, Thomas, and Holgier. Had a burger outside while we heard about Ric expecting another child. 

Met Mark D in person for the first time - had to sneak in a chat over a coffee on the kitchen table between meetings. 

Talked to dad on the phone to check in on Tiz after the funeral. He told me about the wedding money Laughy's mum asked for - and the i30N he bought Tiz

Waited in Aldi for Kai to sleep a bit, after he fell asleep on a drive to the house then the shops. Got frustrated with Julie and lashed out eh trying to do AJ's homework about her poor parenting. I felt bad and said sorry when she got home.  Put famous music on over dinner - after AJ asked about David Bowie. 

LAN party with the guys in the garage - AJ's first LAN party. He did well to adapt and learn how to play the shooting games - but I felt bad letting him play them so young.

Dinner with Tara and the Design team - it was hard staying cheery as I knew Shelle had something happen with Chris and couldn't come - plus I know what's coming for the team. 

Session with the FR team to show them the new content API - battled the postman collection, which I hadn't yet setup with environment variables. 

Catch up with France on the migration - Fred was frustrated at us for trying to learn more and help the team. 

Missed call from Thi - she got rear ended. Struggled to understand her, but the car looked OK. Won the soccer finals - even scoring a good rebound goal off the back net. Gaz was sent off twice

Struggled to find AJ in the kids at AFL when I went to pick him up - he was in the mixed prep/year 1 group. Went to the Kelvin Grove post office to pick up my super garage hat - the guy there seemed half asleep. 

Sent Tiz a video from the boys to cheer her up before he flight home for the funeral. Took the boys swimming at Newmarket - Kai struggled with the depth of the water in the heated pool. He didn't do great at flipping over to catch a breath.

Trip to Umart to buy a keyboard and mouse for AJ. Set him up with the server, but he didn't seem too interested. Spent a lot of time with Kai relaxing and reading books (Multipliers) Kai wanted to find our what cow poo looked like

Sat outside talking to Jon about the upcoming changes - sitting near the stairs that were still blocked off to repair the step edges. Talked about the impending changes - was worried about everything. Heard from Dad about Tiz's mum passing away 

Met Cameron from Blinkist - got moving on vendor audit with him. Long session with Eric to get around the LXP migration risks. 

Met Florian the first time - catching up twice with him on a single day. Started with Auth0, then onto a walk through of their content system. 

First session with Audric and Eric to look at the LXP migration. Only just managed to get time on the leader board. 

First day Clem was back from leave - caught up with him on all the mess that is GenAI 

Went to the scooter park near the police station at alderly with the cousins. Tried to teach Kai about brakes. Watched the boys jump around on the bench, after Kai was triple dipping his carrots. AJ and I walked across the bridge and made leaves float down the canal. 

Went for a really big run - managed sub 5m for the whole 15k, finishing at Ballymore to play soccer with the boys. Kai didn't like AJ kicking the ball away. 

1:1 with Jon where he told me about major upcoming changes, and then gently talked about his concerns with progress on content gateway. I felt horrible about it all - came home really upset. 

Inception on 1-Platform with the senior Eng team - everyone was supportive. Session with Franck and the FR team on overlaps, I was trying to be helpful but felt they were very defensive. 

Design review on the in house built SCORM engine that Chris proposed. Chris rewrote requirements into a new doc - it duplicated my other page, frustratingly

Session with the User team to learn about their approach to the user domain migration 

Finished the brakes on Julie's car - and Brandon helpfully showed me how to do the rubber seals.

Went to DFO with AJ - got the boys Converse shoes and AJ green sunglasses. Started doing the brakes on the car, Nath came over - but the piston tool was stuck so we had to do errands to fix it by getting an angle grinder to cut it off. Rushed to the park to catch Nina and the boys with their bikes. Enzo's tyre wouldn't stay on the rim, and Julie sat in the middle of the concrete.

Picked up the boys - made Evan cry trying to tickle him on the way out. AJ's first breathers class at swimming - he was in the proper lanes. Struggled to eat all day after the insane meal for our anniversary the day before. Played with Kai on the driveway - we drew a race track with crocodiles for his bike.

Anniversary dinner at Opa - ordered the degustration, and just one of the nine dishes was a half chicken. Julie stupidly ate all the break.  We were so bloated 

Looked after Kai while Julie took AJ to the psychologist - I was trying to talk to Michelle in the UK who was recovering from covid and talking about her frustrations with the project. 

Day home sick after feeling like I caught what AJ had. I had big sneezes and was really exhausted.  I tried to watch Foundations for the first time (after skipping The Meg 2), it was really good. 

Came home after reports of AJ throwing up - I felt unwell and started sneezing bad, developing a runny nose by the end of the day.
