Digital Memory Palace

Met Kyle at work in person for the first time - got a plan for ISO sorted. Came home to quesadeas and AJ hyped up spinning around. It was nice to eat and talk without the TV.

Skipped coffee for the day - did aeroplanes with Kai while I watched TV. Then put on Mr Bean for the boys who laughed as I had a shower.

Went to Nina and Al's for Pho that Ba Ngoi had been cooking all day. Mike and Sue were there.  Mum was late, broke a shoe, and damaged the cake.  Mum borrowed my shoes when she left.

Took Kai for a run - dressed him in an adorable outfit of a white shirt, jeans, and a knitted jumper with a backwards cap.  Took AJ to the house - helped him climb the ladder upstairs and he picked his new room. Caught Kieran on the way out.  Went to dads and had Fish Lips fish and chips for lunch. Went to bunnings and got office lights for $2.50 each - and fitted them to the wall. 

Showcased the Wizard solution all working. The video was super fast, and really difficult to understand. 

Lunch with Thomas at work - grabbed a Kebab and he told me about the secondaries problem, and the Mercedes he bought with damaged wheels. 

Call with ADP architects - I was really surprised at just how engaged and optimistic they were. It was a great call. 

FY24 planning - went through the list and proposed structures that might respond to it. Jon and I stuck around and put names on the miro board.

AI chat breakdown - a managed to get a story map done this time. 

Parked at the bakery along Waterworks road to get coffee for the first time. Got annoyed someone parked behind me, but pumped the music with the boys and waited. Julie climbed the ladder upstairs, while I looked after the boys on their scooters.

Enzo's birthday at chipmunks - hung out with Al, Lauren, and Matt. I watched a young islander boy slide down a bit slide, then flinched as a larger kid came down and landed on his head. I thought he snapped it back, but he stood up OK but crying.  Ihad Julie drop me off home after as I was still feeling ill. Slept on the couch trying to watch the end of Total Recall. 

Took a sick day for the first time in forever - had to drive to officeworks to print out an invoice to sign to pay for our frame. 

Presented to the EMT on GenAI - did well, and Jared called out the Project Management in particular 

Jared came back - I got an invite to the PM team meeting to listen to the changes to teams. Kristina wasn't happy when I caught her later. 

Late to meet Stacie - our new director of IT. We talked about kids, and I ran her through the Go1 Product. 

Session on auth with Tim, Shangzhi, and Chau - spent ages after doing a diagram on auth with Chau. 

Couldn't taste coffee at all with my head cold - but I felt much better as the day went on. I changed the brakes on my car, and talked to Brandon - who had a new E92 BMW In the evening, as the boys played I used tools to remove excess metal brackets from the wall near the gas pipes. 

Woke up feeling unwell - serviced the cars, then struggled with my breath coming upstairs. Had the worst night sleep in memory. Woke up every hour or so, shivering, coughing, and unable to breathe through my nose. 

Sent out our GenAI update, AB replied to see some of it - I sent him an email with a mix of links and instructions to see.

Noticed the orange Holden Trax idling in our driveway - started to walk upstairs and noticed it was a courier. Turns out, it was for me. 

Sorted out how we're doing the skills API and AI service with Chau and Oscar. 

Fell into a rant about some work Michaela did that ML shared - realised I was being emotive and apologised to her and Prags later in the day 

Walk through of the moodle flow with Aimee and Joyce - they did a good job. 

Took the boys out for exercise - AJ riding and Kai in the running pram. AJ was terrified braking down the hill. Helped Den and Carolina move into their new place - the stairs weren't attached properly at the bottom and would clunk each time I walked down. 

We went to West end for lunch. It was too late to go to Cha Cha Chang's - so we got bahn mi and sat on the edge of the grass to eat. The boys raced across the lawn, running, hopping, and jumping. 

Picked up pizza from Arividirci for the family - they were super busy. I watched the girl at the counter trying to get her colleague to hear her as she asked for ice cream. 

FY24 planning with the leaders - we populated the miro board with tickets and lots of real lines to highlight dependencies

Nearly fell asleep on the floor of the office. Laid down to rest, and curled up in exhaustion - feeling myself drift off. 

Argued with Margaret about the one by one approach while Casey seemed distracted 

Sorted out the path for the skills classifier with CF - aligned with them on how it would work for the public API.
