Digital Memory Palace

Went to dad and Tiz's place for the first time since he got back from overseas and we both had COVID.  Played darts with him, then took headshots of Tim before driving home feeling unwell.

Took the boys out for a walk after spending most of the day feeling horrible. Kai regularly refused to scoot - walking slowly beside Julie. I stood at the Picot St playground looking down the slope where the fence was missing, feeling woozy. Got indian for dinner - they gave AJ a free ice cream.

Day in the office - got Luke to run the pogos through the design vision. Felt like death - called mum on the way home to check she'd made it to Nan's ok

Worked at home - Tim called to tell me he's gay. Had to drop quickly after the call to meet a guy buying my lense.

After work I drove to Howard Smith Wharves with Juan and shared a pizza and mussels as we talked all things Sunlight/Moonshot  Talked to Chris E today to share my concerns - and learn about his new place. Was great to chat to him.

First day back at the office - Jon came in briefly, then went home sick. Met Juan person for the first time.

Worked from home - caught up with K and Chris B to sort out the FL demo of SuccessFactors 

Julie finally won on ticket to ride - after I hear her for the first three games

I asked Julie to make me pancakes - she made the boys bacon and eggs. I woke up late and made crepes for myself. Played Fortnight with Jon, and Ash - Ash struggled to get his steam to work. We won the game after messing around with the balls and rollercoaster 

Tried to work - made it 45m through the sprint demo, but couldn't concentrate so crashed out. Slept 2h with Kai in the middle of the day

Woke up still feeling horrible - made sushi for dinner, and lost my temper a little with Julie about it (my fault, just wound up from being sick)

Worst day of COVID - slept twice during the day, and crashed out early. Tested the boys - AJ was a faint positive, where as Kai was a clear positive.

Felt worse from COVID - kept Kai home, but took AJ to school. Baked a terrible focaccia that was too salty.

Walked AJ to school - came home and felt unwell trying to work, so crashed upstairs to sleep and called in sick. Tested myself at night - was positive with COVID. Julie tested positive too.

Went to South Bank and the river bend down the boys. We played on the ropes seats and swing while Julie went to the bathroom. Mum, Jas, and Tim came over for birthday cake - Laughy arrived late with his new car, a MK6 Golf GTI

Checked out and drove to Maroochydore to have coffee and a biscuit on the beach. The energetic aqua aerobics instructor could be heard in the background. Rested during the day, then went to Donna Chang's for dinner with Julie - rushing to get there after Ba Ngoi was late to arrive and mind the boys.

SLT day after the SKO, we did a good job to win the survivor style competition - I killed it with the slingshot. Bus ride and dinner - the bus driver had to reverse all the way back up the slip road due to being blocked by a car.

Drove to the SKO - met K for a drink, then attended the gala. Struggled to stay positive - as I was down about my role change. It particularly hurt when Sam from Singapore complemented on my work - but I had to tell her I wasn't in product anymore.

Workshop with K and the FL team on the UK to help guide them on next steps.

Louis tripped at soccer, but then was pushed against the fence and wrestled to the ground - he came up with red marks from the floor on his face, after prying the guy off him. Went to The Norman for a snack while Geremy and Tim ate. Saw Tim's new Pegueot van.

Pragyan started in the office - was nice to have lunch with him, Hanno, and some of the other team.

Took the kids to the Bardon Bowls Club to play with the mother's group. Watched Kai wrestling AJ on the ground, after we ran around kicking the soccer ball.

Went to the valley with Tim - to the scary maze and netherworld. I tried to make him feel less anxious about the valley, which seemed to work. He hugged me really hard thanking me when he left - I could tell he really enjoyed it, and it made him feel more confident going out.

Sleep in before heading to the office, had lunch with LB and a walk/tea with Bahar. Rushed to the airport for my flight thinking it would be really busy, but the airport was fine. Kept listening to Bill Brycen's "Short history of nearly everything"

Woke up - realised I'd set my alarm too late, and had to rush to make my Melbourne flight. After work, I walked the river - had a video call with AJ near the eye sculpture, then had ramen for dinner.

First day back at work - there was a lunch event, after which I grabbed a leftover piece of brownie that was amazing. Struggled to fill the day - so played around with my bookmarks and mailbox 

Took Kai to swimming - he carried on, and I got really wet hugging him while trying to encourage him with an iron man toy. Kai was happy when I got him home and fed. Went to Alex's for coffee - was freezing, and went upstairs for tea with him and Bec.

Stopped by the bagel shop on the way home from the Gold coast - Julie got an everything bagel. It reminded me of the 'Everything, everywhere, all at once' movie The boys sat patiently while we ate

Breakfast with Justine at No Name Cafe at Broadbeach. Took the boys to the park while we waited for a table. Went to the Sepannen's for the afternoon with the boys - Jon setup a projector for them in Caden's room, Kai made a big mess 

Took the boys to the arcade at Broadbeach for games. Went to Miami Marketta for dinner after a trip to Pac Fair. Played Will Smith's "Miami" on the way. I  got frustrated that the calamari and bao buns were gone by the time I got back with brisket and a Pad Thai 

Drove to the Gold Coast for the marathon weekend. Went to Turkish for dinner with the Sepannens, was chaotic as Julie and I tried to share a platter across Lauren. The babies required constant feeding from Jon to stay quiet.
