Digital Memory Palace

Took AJ to the city to look around, get flowers for Julie, and have lunch. Took Julie's car for a wheel alignment - played at the park with AJ while we waited. Took AJ to 1UP Arcade, where we played until we had to go home to pickup Julie and Kai. AJ was surprisingly good at Bubble Bobble and Quake.

Took my post vascectoemy sample to the Wesley to confirm - had trouble finding a place to lock my bike. Rode to New Farm where I got a call from Jas, and organised to hang with her. Jas and I went to Plenty for lunch, then to the art gallery where we complained about the repetition in Aboriginal art - and then got caught in the rain on the way out.

Day with Kai - took him to Lone Pine. Could have sworn the cockatoo said 'cocky want a cracker' Lunch with Nathan at Bulimba - took Kai to the playground, that had a broken swing and looked rough for an upmarket suburb  Drove to mums to drop off AJ, and bring home the speakers 

Dropped the car off to get tyres - walked to Chermside.  I noticed the cheap looking lions on the walk there.

Worked with Laughy to help him finish the stud wall. He cut some of the uprights too short - and struggled with the anchors  Took my shaver back under warranty, but they wouldn't accept it - claiming water damage, for a water rated device.

Went to see Dave and Vin - for some Hugo hugs. Took Dave to see Sleep Token and Northlane  There was an attractive girl next to us, who's boyfriend looked like a pregnant pirate. Odd match.

Day with Julie - breakfast at New Farm, followed by a trip to the op shop across the road, then to Tesla to show her the Model Y - and finally onto GOMA to see the exhibition with all the string/wool. Had lunch at the Vietnamese place on Charlotte St that I thought was the one I threw up outside when working at QUT - but was actually next to that place. Oddly, that was called AJs Vietnamese 

Got my boat and jet ski license with two other guys. Couldn't get the boat up on the dry dock as the water was too low. Made cheese and bacon scrolls - while Julie played (watched) Mario party with the boys

Day with mum - picked her up and went up to Sunshine Plaza. She's nearly bought some shoes, but got me a shirt and shoes. We watched top gun 2, then had lunch at a rice Boi on the water at maloolaba. They forgot to give us edamame, which I got them to sort out - it was covered in butter and garlic,

Bahn Mi with Alex, after I tried studying my boat license videos in his cafe. Serviced both cars - stupidly discovered my car has the same 1.2 4cyl motor as Julie's, when I actually thought it was the 3cyl version.

Swimming lesson for Kai - he did ok for a while, but then got upset after one too many dunks Underwater. Bought sheets and pillows at Westfield, then underweqr at Myer - which set the alarm off and forced me to go back in with the attendant. In the evening - Met Diego and Dusan at the shipping container park at Hamilton, so the kids could play 

Breakfast with Dad at James St, then we went to RACQ motorfest with Richard. He turned up in his whole BMW outfit. Dad signed up to the BMW club, then after we had beer and lunch - before taking dad to the block of land to show him. A couple were walking around the fire break, and two other cars came through while we were there 

Coffee at Gia - Kai tipped all the toys our and tried to push the plastic toy container down the slide. Met Hugo at the baek il celebration - where we also say Michael and Nora. A random boy wanted to help push Kai on the swing.

Last day in the office before my holiday - talked to Dharun over lunch about books and philosophy - then grabbed two Balter beers on the way out

Arborist came and chopped down the tree. The truck with chipper trailer was struggling to back down the driveway

Found that KiwiCo charged my credit card again - and I'm still waiting on two crates. Very frustrated with their constant poor service 

Had Julie rip into me about not being there, and never having any time/energy for her or the kids. Sobbed as I hugged her in AJs bed 

Went to the new wings place near the office with the team - had a spring roll that had a sweet rice filling that wasn't very good 

Dad came over with Jas - we played soccer in the driveway. My first kick sent the ball into Kai's head 

Popped out to Alex's for a coffee - before rushing home to mum/Jas to look after the boys while Julie went out. We played Nickelodeon all stars - AJ got very excited about it

Went to lunch with Jared - Japanese across the road. He was excited by the bubble tea there 

Ran through handover to Jared - he was rather disinterested and it made me frustrated. He at least asked for my input on team structures 

My new role was announced - felt pretty numb about it. Jared gave me a custom Go1 hat

Jared arrived in BNE - picked him up for dinner. Matt brought me home brew in his carry on - and talked me through them as we were disrupted by the SDR team clapping constantly.

First day back for Jess - met her at Sassafras to explain the situation with my role, and brief her on the team and next ateps

Lunch at Grant and Monica's - first time meeting Laughy. Kai loved the electric car they had - we played with the balls on the back grass, including playing with passionfruit husks 

Drove up and did the grouting at mums place with Ian. Made us leftover soggy toast burgers for lunch 

Friday on the office - I kept turning the music off as Jon and I had coffee on the couch, as it was too loud.

Told the rest of the team what was happening with my role - rough day

Came to the office to find an event from the previous day had scaffolding, chairs, lights, and banners scattered everywhere. Had leftover canapes with Thomas and Jon for lunch.

Had lunch with Shelle at Brown Dog to say farewell. She bought me beer after at the fancy bottle shop next door.
