Met Alex for coffee at Bear Bones - talked then onto the soul food place that was closed, even though I'd paid the meyer for our cars. Lunch at Shanghai dumbling, then visited Bec at work - seeing the crazy prices of the shoes in the shop. But liked the blue loafers.

Cleared the air a little with Julie - cried with her on the couch. Breakfast at Picnic at West End - first time seeing the west village. Stunned at the $650 price for the designer prescription glasses. Made a screen for the garage, after two trips to Bunnings. First time making home made Char Kway Teow, it worked out well.

Took AJ to Chermside to cash three cheques - he picked opporto for lunch. While eating, I saw a younger girl with her face fully tattooed. Talked to Julie in the evening about my frustrations with her, she proposed divorce - I slept with Kai.

Slow day at home sick with the boys. Opened up and played fish with the Avengers cards - AJ quickly got the hang of it. Drove to Alex's on the way to shopping, it was closed.

First fish and chip shop was closed, so went to another up the road that had a huge line of jet skis sitting in the water. Swam in the beach, then took the boys to the shower - waited there for ages for Julie and the others to catch up. Kai struggled to sleep coughing.

Trip to Julie's cousins, Lisa, where we did naughty Santa. I got a sausage roll maker.  AJ jumped into the pool fully clothed as we tried to leave. I shaved my head in the evening.

Christmas at Dad and Tiz's - played the Sim racing and setup Tiz's laptop while the kids played downstairs.

Last day at work before Xmas - very quiet, but Tim was on site after moving. We had lunch in the board room - and I opened my box from Juan and the Moonshot team.

Talked with Heather at work - heard her story how she met Dlher partner Dane in Germany at a Christmas market, and he flew over to Liverpool to see her after the trip 

SLT call - Jon won a Christmas theme dress up with a hat that reminded me of the Who's from The Grinch.

Skipped soccer as I didn't feel well - to come home to Nina, Alan, and the boys at home. Watched Evan and Enzo both wipe their noses on our blanket - which grossed me out.

Grabbed a baby seat from the garage to fit to dad's Prado that I borrowed. The strap wasn't very adjustable and I wasn't sure why - until I realised it was the new seat we bought Nina and Alan.

Watched AJ at swimming, as Kai didn't have gymnastics. Lilly came over and played with him - she didn't have her two front teeth. Talked to Alana about her builder, and he step he created to their storeroom.

Finished roadmap planning - drinks with the board, then off to drinks with Em at Caxton st. An Audi SUV tried to turn the wrong way onto Caxton st, then nearly backed into us 

UXmas at Flight Centre, bumped into old interview candidates, and say Eugene and Carla - first time I've seen them since having the kid.

Found a deal for a fanatec DD - organised to buy and agree to pickup within 10m while laying in bed. Accidentally sent a gif of two guys wrestling to the guy mid conversation.

Search workshop - spent time with Joyce and Pramudi to come up with ideas for preview in the player. Felt good to have engagement around what partner first means.

Final contract breakdown from Brighton, it was a bit higher than we expected. We went back to them to clarify why.

Took the boys to Ballymore - AJ tried his big bike for the first time. He was terrified, and kept yelling "No Daddy!" In the afternoon we decorated gingerbread men - with Kai eating all the M&Ms

Jumping castle for Kai at Gymnastics. Saw Nina and Al for the first time since arriving in the afternoon - arrived with Enzo naked. Later went to the pool, where he cried profusely 

Christmas lunch at work - ate too much with Shelle. Wrapped up the day showing Brooker my app framework thinking - and had AB pop in and largely agree, which was nice.

AJ home with a puffy eye - he played video games in the bedroom for most of the day. Sorted out our Christmas holiday schedule - then talked to Julie about my frustration with her regressing to being unmotivated again.

Kicked off the user service migration, helped facilitate it - but by the after I had feedback in 15five about giving Hoa space. I was very frustrated

Last minute meeting with Tim and Brooker to figure out what we do to be uplift Go1d. It was Tim's last meeting before he went on holidays to move to Brisbane 

Call with a recruiter about a CEO role that she had to be vague on - I was stoked to even be on the list to call 

Beach with the boys - Tim and I drove home with the boys who fell asleep straight away. Tim and I talked about his bus trip down to the Gold Coast, seeing drugs on the bus, and about drag queens. I asked if he wanted to be a drag queens, but he didn't directly answer. But I felt he trusted me, and we talked about a lot on how he felt about drugs, sexuality, and his interests.

Went to the Christmas carols at the park on Bribie island. The boys were having a lot of fun running around and dancing - hyped by the sugar of the ice cream. The sunset was beautiful out over the passage. 

Clem's surprise baby shower - watched the mums on the call do the baby shark hand gestures as the song played. Took the boys to movie night at the school, the ladies were struggling with fairy floss while Julie worked the popcorn. Kai got really scared, and we had to come home early.

Hackathon presentation - Chase talked for age and chewed up all the time we had.

Feedback session with Kristina on the roadmap - she was nice, but gave me good feedback in the complicated nature of the planning process. Was thankful for it - but disappointed in myself, as she was right. 

Hackathon kick off with Adolfo and the team - found they'd started exploring the idea, and we got good input from Chase and Shannon. 

Talked Hackathon with Brooker - got ideas and thinking on how to approach our problem. 

Breakfast party for Jeremy at the park near Tish and Andy. AJ loved the fire engine with the pump. Setup Assetto Corsa and Discord with dad. Was frustrating, but we got it working and raced together. Mum came over - I got frustrated and blew up at her about denying that Tim was gay. 

After gymnastics got a muffin and smoothie from Alex's with Kai. Felt the smoothie mess me up straight away. In the afternoon went to Myer in the city for Santa photos. Kai was being a shit, I felt really stressed - my left arm felt tingly. Wanted through the enchanted garden - tried to avoid the guy I noticed coughing.

Walked with Jon for our 1:1 down to the nearby park. Came back to see a digger setting up at the entrance to the park down to the aquaduct.

Julie told me about her work situation with the role changing - she kept repeating herself and I kept pointing it out to her, as she though I wasn't paying attention. I lifted weights outside while we explained the story, and we bickered about her working the extra 1 day casual job.

Met Madi at work for the first time - told me about working with Jared/Kristina at LinkedIn. I ran her through the state of release and comms 

Feedback on our new bug taxonomy, Jon was very dismissive about it.

Last day at Auskick for AJ - it was parents versus kids. AJ just kept on grabbing his penis.

Played PlayStation - I was surprised to see AJ started to drive around the track consistently after I turned all the assists on. Made bagels while Laughy worked on the wall. He got a note on his car for parking underneath.

Ministry of Sound with Julie - hung out with Lisa and her friends. 

Went to Dutch courage for gin before the work Christmas party - Prags wore a sharp suit that made him look like The Rock in Ballers.

Lunch with Thomas and Ric. I didn't eat, I'd already had a burrito with Jon and Laura. Ric told us about his new RAV4 arriving, and Thomas talked about more house challenges.

Talking to mum on the phone about minding the boys for ministry of sound, and Kai fell off the office chair while I was pushing it - getting a small blood lip.

Q3 planning kick off - we got to read Jared's strategy doc, and learn about the stone tablet - but didn't get our outcome of OKRs 

Office on Monday - SDRs we're there and being obnoxious. Talked to Alex about decommissioning development

Finalized plastering the wall with Laughy. Then showed Brandon, and saw his downstairs gaming room in the evening.

Trip to the coast to see Danyal, Louise, and the cousins.  Played at the arcade - then struggled to find a restaurant. Ended up at Italian talking to Danyal about his car.

Wizard SteerCo. Had to close the loop with AB late in the day, but got positive feedback so was chuffed going into the weekend.

First day of sessions with Matt/Jasneet's crews to capture status updates.

Skin check - first time parking in the carpark because the boom gate was removed.

Started the car parked outside on the hill - the enginee was really noisy and oil starved. I was worried it was going to fail if this keeps up. Talked late to Juan about Sunlight, Go1, and the state of Go1

Working at home when the Bunnings guys arrived with the plaster sheets.  They were African guys, with the younger one helping guide the older one.

Jet skiing with Simon, his son Henry, and Geremy. It was very choppy on the way out to the bridge, came back upstream and rode to Indooroopilly bridge.

Tool the boys to dad's to setup the new orange PC I got him. Dropped mum, Jas and AJ off in the city, then went to Victoria Park with Kai where we rolled down hills and say Diego.

Home early to take Julie to volunteer at the arts room at school. A girl, Lilly, loved Kai and helped him on the school playground. Took AJ to get a subdog for dinner

Met with Steve from Ducklabs - he talked about the challenges with the FPA team, and regression of behaviour etc. after we bumped on a call together the prior day.

Day on content - talked and cancelled the modular playback work. Then did a premium workshop, and then reviewed Chris'premium as the product work.

Whiteboard session with Luke and Prags on quarterly planning and what we want to do - creating and dofucaing on a theme 

Caught up with Matt F to talk through my concerns re: over investment in modular playback - drafted a PR FAQ on his feedback to get around the problem.

Caught up with Adam and Dalia at the Mitchelton halloween event. It was very busy, and we got stuck near the band while talking to Jacky & Dave - parents of Phoenix from AJ's school.

Caught up with Nathan and Slav at Alex's. Met Jenny's youngest daughter - then helped Nath check his brake fluid. Took the boys to Chermside in the afternoon to spend the rest of their voucher from Nina & Alan. I took them into the arcade while Julie got a coffee. Kai bought a huge transformer plane.

Marylyn and Prags were both in the office - Marylyn heading down to the Gold Coast 500. We had beer and caught up over the breakfast bar in the office. Marylyn shared her challenges with cancer and work hours over in the US.

Caught up with Jared in Brisbane - after earlier spending time with Drew/Margaret to give them feedback/thoughts on partner integration properties

Last all hands with Barnaby - played a farewell video with the 'So long and thanks for all the fish' video playing intro/outro

Shiv's last game at soccer before moving down to Armidale. Had three beers, and Jose ahoeed us he was actually a director of a TV show in Columbia.

Came home and watched the US grand prix - Alonso got air bourne in a crash, and Ricardo only just avoided finishing last 

Finally completed the rubics cube we bought while at Forster with Grandad. Went to North Lakes for Owen's birthday - Kai played in the play house, where Kim was sitting with the kids.

Gymnastics with mum - Kai insisted on playing in the ball pit most of the time. Fright night with Jas, Laughy, and Chris to see Tim perform. He did great, jumping out growling, and slamming the wall.

Caught up with Charles for the first time since I left the team. His brick wall has just been completed  First TPM catch up with Marylyn joining us. 

First time catching back up with Gabriel since I left the team.  Talked to Chris H in the evening, to unpack the portable learner profile 

Julie got the first retaining wall quote at $16.5k - seemed obsurd. Talked about it in the kitchen as we got the boys dinner ready 

Had a challenging call with Jared, followed by some feedback from Jon. Rushed to soccer - struggling to find Craig's house to pickup the jerseys. Dave F joined us for the first time.

Launched in Engineering Intake mechanism after doing the lunch and learn the week before.

Made breakfast for Simone as we nursed our hangovers - she drove me to pickup my car from Geremy's house

Had the boys put up their wall art that Chau kindly sent to me. First time jet skiing with Geremy and Tim - stopped at the powerhouse for a beer. Celebratory drinks at The Gap with The Grove - met a number of families. Rounded out the night drinking with Anthony, Kieran, and Alexis - wrapping up with a whisky sour.
