Halloween at dads place - Tim showed me his TV that rotated.  Trick or treating with mothers group - a girl took AJ's wand and he got very upset. Saw Tiz's BMW while running in the valley 

Visited Jon and Lauren for Halloween - Jon made monster burgers and a spooky truffle.

Talked to Middleton for the first time in forever, helping him with his business - bumped into Teddy at the gym, then went and had dinner with Geremy and saw his house for the first time. As we drove to pickup dinner we stopped to help a young couple on the side of the road - their car had overheated.

Had a tense chat with the other head of product about hiring processes - felt really horrible after it, just felt I wasn't doing a good job on how we hire.

Had a talk from the CPO at Twitch, Tom, today over zoom. Really interesting to hear how they're using OKRs and lead indicators really well 

Introduction for Matt to the team - after he started the day before while I was away. 

Kai's first swim at the beach at broadbeach - I stood him on top of a wooden post and mimicked the scene from titanic with him

Swam in the pool for the first time with Kai at The Star. He shivered constantly. Panicked when AJ jumped into the deep end and struggled - had to rush over with Kai in my arms. 

Checked in to The Star at the Gold Coast  Met the Seppanen twins - tried to have Italian for dinner but it was tricky. AJ hurt his foot - turns out it was a blister. 

Challenging day with the US team - first attempt at sprint review that didn't go so well. 

First leadership training as a group with Kirsi - we just talked about scarcity and abundance 

First coaching session with Kirsi - felt it went well 

First sprint planning with the Content Management team - taught them Jira and we planned to get our baselines done. Followed up with the first good Content Pipeline session - finally getting them on board with how it should work. 

Finally got some time on analysis - drafted the ICP hypothesis and demand curve 

The boys made a huge mess splashing their cars (and AJ's thongs) in one of Alex's water features while we had coffee with Christina 

Took the boys to south bank - Kai and I spent time swinging on a round swing looking up to the branches of the tree above. We all shared a boost juice on the way back to the car - one for all four of us 

Started the morning super early with the US team to talk vision and purpose. Really sleepy by the end of the day - struggled to stay awake while having first chat with Caz now that we formalised her new role. 

First tech talk session Jon booked - it was a principal engineer from Amazon based in Brisbane. 

Interview for the Content Analyst role - surprising result 

Had to hold a meeting in my car outside soccer at coorparoo - tough meeting on the issues with content onboarding. 

The other head of Product started - spent 2h with her and Luke to onboard, and run through the product

Made pizza and tiramisu and took it to dads to cook - got really upset at dad shutting me down as I tried to help Tim. 

I dropped AJ off at dads, then he and I looked at a bunch of cars for Ba Ngoi - including a pink yaris near his house. 

Interview for prep for AJ - the principal was at a basic desk in an old office room, AJ spent time with a lady and got show bag after 

Helped Bec's brother Tom with his resume - encouraged him to apply for a role at Go1

Chat with Alan on the reporting work he's digging into for Learnify Finished the all hands recording after many takes with Bas and Thomas. Didn't realise that moving the window would move the overlay 

Late soccer game - missed the ball with a kick and locked out my knee. It hurt, and I limped off the back of the court. Seemed OK after a short rest 

Coffee with mum at Scoopy's Cafe - the boys rode the train, which I'm sure was just a converted ride on mower 

Mum took the boys and Julie and I had gym, spa, and a steam room at the country club Washed mums car - had to use a scourer to clean the junk out of her leather 

Felt wrecked - fell asleep after getting back from AJ's soccer. Dinner with Mum, Boyd, and James for fish and chips at sunset at Bribie 

End of quarter - went to timezones at Mt Gravatt after dinner, and went on the round bumper cars that we could spin around

Caught up with the exec on a key content partner - felt really embarrassed with myself for not having tested a number of elements they'd asked about.

Lunch and Learn with Phil from Decida - he went back through the Ape brain and two systems from thinking fast, thinking slow
