Digital Memory Palace

Struggled in a  hat with the boss today talking about some structural work I had been doing. It left me really frustrated - talked to Luke over a coffee and delayed Mischa to decompress 

Came home excited to watch the Spa F1 face from overnight - sadly, it as rained out and cancelled after two laps. George Russell finally got that podium though - with a 2nd place finish 

Drove to see mum and Boyd at Bribie - overshot the exit by 20m as we got distracted with the planes coming into land. Talked to Boyd on the bench looking our over the bay as mum, Jas, Tim, Julie and the boys went down to the beach 

Picked up my TOLL package from JB hifi (the creavace cleaner) from the Pharmacy, they struggled to sign it out. Second Pfizer jab in the afternoon at Doomben, weird location up some escalators at the end of the area where people were betting and drinking 

Second visit to Ba Ngoi's house to finish assembling her furniture. Accidentally put the bottom board on the bed the wrong way around, and had to flip it around. 

Team retro - had fun with a game on the add ons screen, followed by a dragons den style pitch session. 

Product talk sessions with regional sales teams - didnt get much feedback as there wasn't much to show.. Talked vimeo with Jacqui and Sam

Rushed home for body corp meeting after Julie called me to say the lady had arrived. She said she was going to call and didn't - I just setup in the garage and kept working. 

Strategy morning with Luke in the boardroom - went and got kebabs, then had a big chat WITH Matt in the afternoon 

Washed both cars together for the first time - had steam coming off Julie's roof as I sprayed the hose on it. 

Went to the gap to check out the closest park for the first time- the playground on Hilder road.  A bunch of young girls in netball outfits were being rowdy, but AJ played around them. 

Three interviews in the same day, found a great candidate for another Head of role that I out into the boss. 

Went to Ba Ngoi's after a long day at work to assemble her Ikea furniture. The boxes were huge. Thankful for the electric screwdriver I stopped to buy along the way. 

First time interviewing using the new method to get more practical examples in real time. It worked really well. 

Caught Jon as he was leaving - he was really frustrated with the team and their approach, and was upset more people were leaving. We talked about product leadership - I slacked him later to clarify my stance that I'm happy to lead, but don't feel I'm the right choice. 

Got my number plates fitted to the Skoda - it felt dodgy at the Macgregor Dept of Transport. Read EMPOWERED on the couch with Kai sleeping on my chest 

First time to Jon and Lauren's new place - had pink beer and then Finnish brandy. Alex taught us how to brew a good coffee 

Went for a run, then took Ba Ngoi to Ikea to pick our furniture. Accidentally tried to lick the sauce off my finger with my mask on. Crashed asleep on the bed in the afternoon 

Beers with CE and Thomas at the end of the day - they both shook their head when I told them about still using a desk as my dining table. 

Finally met and chat with the Huenei team after having to shift the meeting due to my surgery 

Talked to Kris at work around the struggles with Events and Quizzes 

Tim's birthday - we did the 3D ride at the circus arcade at Toombul. Mum lost her card, and found it back in the arcade. We won three plush toys - including a sushi cat and plush smoothie 

Dropped the new car off for its major service - went to Mt Gravatt skoda that was closed. Went to work to confirm what's going on, an realised I actually had to go to Mansfield. Drove a new Skoda Scala - it was nice with the big digital display. It had a weird noise on the highway that made me think it was broken.

Walked to Crust & Co for coffee and cake - AJ pointed out the green car, a Skoda Fabia. AJ and I later walked to Aldi to get sauces for dinner. I didn't realise I didn't have my mask on until I crossed paths with an old lady in the narrow alleyway near our house. I quickly put it on.

We walked to Gia to get a coffee - AJ was blitzing along on his scooter. We sat at the park near the exercise equipment and ate the oversized cookie - then did some exercise, before walking to the various parks to play before coming home.

Di's last day - suprised her with a farewell meeting. Took the car to pickup Indian. They incorrectly listed Julie's name as 'Joe' - and I came out parked next to a black Mazeratti. 

Good chat with Carrie and Luke to identify the process challenges together - had a chat with Bas who was aligned with our approach and the delineation between them.

Paid for the transfer for the Skoda - was $470 or so, much higher than expected. Had a late meeting with Caz, that flowed on after the team sprint planning. She was stuck in a dark room.

I came upstairs for morning tea to find AJ very excited about the cookies he created (the packet mix of 'rainbow cookies' he picked on the weekend) - and ate one. I fed Kai a chunk of a spare cookie, which he ran off with to suck on like a weirdo.

Spent 2hrs on the phone for the first design studio on the bed in our bedroom - while the boys watched TV. We finalised our exterior design.

Drove the family to Alex's in my new Fabia - first time we've had all of the family in my car, not in Julie's car. Got a coffee - and an Indian lady with twins talked to Julie and asked about Kai's shoes.

I took AJ to little kickers - showed dad the car, then followed him back home to pickup the second car seat.  Had coffee with Tiz, who had a cold sore that looked like a goatie.
