Digital Memory Palace

Went to bunnings after Ba Ngoi's - got flyscreen repair equipment. I then had an afternoon drink with Thomas at the Regatta Hotel - we had Pims, and then I drove him home - seeing his place for the first time.

 I made cheese and bacon scrolls for the first time - then finished Dark Souls on the Switch.

Went with Julie to a park in Rochdale to see school friends - I took AJ on a pedal car on an oval monorail track. I climbed up the outcome and into the wooden playground with him - it was tight getting back down inside. Took beer to Dave's in the evening - most bottle shops were closed, so I had to park next to Toyota at Kedron and walk down to BWS on Gympie Rd.

Took AJ to do the shopping - paid cash for a change, with the leftover cash from selling the Galaxy S8 phones the other week. Then went out to bunnings to get plastic containers for packing, only to realise they were wrong. I went back to bunnings to swap them - then onto dad's (via KFC with AJ) to get the pressure washer and leftover clothes from Christmas.

Went to Mum's place to pickup AJ and have dinner with her and Boyd. We ate Christmas leftovers (mostly Ba Ngoi's meatballs) and then drove the kids home late.

Woke up for Christmas early at dad and Tiz's place. I took Kai down to watch TV and sit on my lap - only to have him shit out the side of his nappy on me, while I had AJ with his pants off. We opened presents - and I realised Laughy arrived overnight.

Morning at Alex's having coffee with Nathan, before we picked up AJ and went to dads. We picked up Red Rooster for dinner - and I call and joked with Jas that her new i30 (that I drove) was making noises. 

Last day at work for the year - drove home to run through the UK customer solution with Mark and Juan on the couch - having redone the charter on Basecamp for Juan 

Lunch at Miss Kays for Sam's farewell at work. Had a terse session late helping Thomas design how to manage the new big customer 

Went to west end to buy beer at archive - there was no store, so I drove to Rosalie and got beer there for Sam's farewell 

Christmas lunch with Julie's friends at Tish and Andy's house. AJ and Alicia locked themselves in the toilet playing - and everytime I tried to get them out they'd get excited and scream 

Hungover after the Xmas party - a lady came around and bought our two Galaxy S8 phones. 

Work Christmas party at south bank. Ended up continuing on to the Emporium roof top bar where I talked to Lud's husband Aaron, Nathan, and Geo for a lot of the night 

Whiteboard Christmas party. Talked to Hari a lot, but also a lot to Pete. Bec and Shaun tried to convince me on the new contract they have with a customer that they needed help with. 

Had calls with the boss to talk about my email - had some arguments, but I feel we met in the middle and understood each other. 

Got an email late at night from the boss, worked until nearly 1am to respond in frustration 

Pouring rain on the drive to work. It was very slippery in the car. Finished the presentation for the unforum with Son 

Wrapped AJ's Christmas presents as he slept. Accidentally cut the wrapping short on a few things. I drew angry faces on the presents.  AJ wanted to open them when he woke up. 

Luci's Xmas party - first time I went to her house. I talked to her friends and helped with the pizza dough. I then talked to Sally, JJ, Ed, Lou, and Geremy outside. 

Came home early - got fish and chips and wine, then came. Home to watch the first episode of the queens gambit 

Structural workshop - Bas flew up for the first time since covid 

Second time having German sausages for lunch with Thomas. The girl didn't realise we wanted two meals - so only cooked one. We ended up sharing it. 

Late night workshop with the UK client and their team. Started at 8pm and was going to go all night - but I crashed out at 11

F1 race where Russell got to drive Hamilton's Mercedes. Nearly won - but had a tyre mix up, then a puncture 

Went to Alex's to build his new pc using leftover parts with Jon and Dave - got into a bit of a rage with a slack from work. Walked in the evening to clear my head

Dropped AJ off to dad and Tiz's place after swimming. Got a haircut at Kelvin Grove urban village - I had a lot of banter and laughs with the younger guy wearing the mask, who's friends came in and stirred him. 

Work photos - had to find a prop, so grabbed a gas canister from the store room

Presented to the US team on the Product Catalogue 

Booked in at Diversion Garage for a tune next year. Oddly, Nathan bought his Cobb kit from them today as well. 

Had my US team member back to work full time today after being sick - talked to Thomas about the Kia Stinger outside
