Digital Memory Palace

Met Clem for the first time in person - had been going out to say hello to Jess who had come into the office for a change.  Came home and watched the crazy crash at Bahrain in F1 - where Grojean crashed in a fireball through the barrier, but then luckily escaped OK.

Gym in the morning - then late home to take Julie to 'Emily Yeoh', a restaurant at Paddington, for lunch. Spent the afternoon with both boys in a darkened lounge room trying to get Kai to sleep, giving him a bottle for the first time. No luck.

First day looking at houses in a long time - looked at a big brick house at Lutwytche that had floral carpet and greek style columns at the front - then drove to Julie's mums to see the painting for the first time. Had Alan - some guy from PF - kindly drop around his heat wrap to me. We talked about cars, he'd just bought a Megane 265

Started to fall asleep in the meeting about the Harvard design. Went home while the sun was still up following an orange ND mx5

Second day of Unforum 2 - late to a session on domains talking about the UK customer we're trying to prepare for launch.

 Frist day of Unforum 2 - managed to cobble together a WoW session. 

Package arrived from TOG - my over pipe for the 86. Opened it after the late call with the UK customer. 

Hard day at work with HR - followed up by a rapid response to the increased resourcing request 

Woke up with Jon, Lauren, and a Caeden gone - he had been sick overnight.  Hiked up the 'Caves Path' at Birra Burra with Alex, Bec, and Christina - didn't find the caves. Came home - then drove out to pick up the Tomei Headers 

Drove down and watched the paragliders at Beachmont from the holiday house. Jon got super excited at the 80s Porsche 911 that was there 

Day off - but still had to have a call with the US partner. Then drove to Beachmont to a holiday house with the Seppanen's, Alex and Bec, and Christina 

6am call with the UK customer - then a long day culminating with another call with that customer later at night. Had a rough day with my boss after a tense meeting 

Long day - ended up talking to Thea and the team about the SSO solution. They were fine about it - so now I just need to document it up. 

Long day in the office - got very frustrated about my feedback being ignored for B2C so escalated. Had a last minute call from my UK team member who wanted to explain some stuff. 

 Nathan slacked in with some family emergency - could get a hold of him via SMS. That's not like him.

Spent most of the day at Dad and Tiz's new place - it was the first time AJ and Kai went there. AJ struggled scratching his mosquito bites. 

Walked to the markets - had roast pork Bahn Mi and then some cakes. AJ and I bought fish - salmon, as it was the only non-whole fish. AJ gave the African man playing guitar the change. I went to a BBQ at Roberto's - first time I've been there. Saw Dusan, Anna, and Diego.  Came. Home and fed AJ on the balcony - he got bitten by many mosquito's and welted up. 

Had getta burger, met the new IT security guy - Geo. Talked resourcing over beers with the executive

Met the new design systems lead, Diana. Margaret and I worked through our vision for partners. 

Came home shattered - in bed by 8pm after starting to get sick again after the previous nights 1am stint 

Worked until 1am on a finance report - shattered 

First day back after a week at home with COVID. first investment case review with the executive 

Took AJ to a make-up swimming lesson, and Dad came along to watch. AJ didn't pay much attention after that. I glued the screen back together on the Pixel 3a

Went to Chermside and bought Julie her new A71 phone - then went and did the groceries and a COVID test. The test was outside of the hospital, but you had to walk inside first, then turn left. We stood in a tent - and it wasn't as bad as they'd said.

Finished work at a reasonable hour, wrapping up on a load testing chat with the UK - spent the night with Julie on the couch watching episode after episode of 'FRIENDS' until we both crashed out to bed.

Had my last work call on the balcony with Raj - walked inside to find AJ asleep on the end of the couch as he waited for me. I carried him to bed and we had cuddles.

 Worked from home as I was sick - had a horrible voice but felt much better than the day before. 

Woke up feeling horrible - called in sick, then spent most of the day laying down and trying to sleep. My neck and back felt horrible 

Woke with an awful sinus headache - talked to Vu, Andrew, and Thomas about the hail on the weekend - and about the crazy hail a few years ago on Kelvin Grove Road. 

Simone came around and we talked about stuff as I baked bagels - we ate some fresh out of the oven. Ran to Holly and Kim's to drop money off

Rode to the gym - bought a sim from Harvey Norman nearby for Julie. Went trick or treat'ing with AJ in the gap with his mums group friends.
