Digital Memory Palace

Had my first good sleep in for the UK - followed by watching Episode 3 of the last season of Game of Thrones (that centers on the battle with the Night King) In the afternoon I went to the Watford cinema and watched The Avengers: Endgame

Train to south London to see Dave at his unit - first time I've been there. Watched F1 Baku race, then took a train back into central London. Walked from Victoria, pass the Hyde Park finish line for the London Marathon, along south bank, and then up to the Brick Lane markets for a Bagel.

Train to London Bridge Station to meet Hus. Grabbed a beer, some dinner (Lobster and Burgers), then caught up with Troy for a beer right near Morden station.

The 4h+ stopover in Dubai nearly killed me, but an uneventful flight from Dubai to London. Got a Vodaphone sim card at a Newsagent at the airport, then trained it to the house. Went out for basic groceries, then got some KFC for dinner on the way home before crashing out.

Flight the UK. Picked up opal earrings for Dave from that opal shop at Windsor.

Last day in the office before my UK trip. Struggled to get Martyn, then had a beer after work with Dan - taking about our relationship histories.

Gym Pb after work - did a 70kg x3 seated strict press. Talked to Jasmine on the phone on the way home, she talked to me about her weekend in Laughy's grandparents camper.

Easter breakfast at Dad and Tiz's place - following by an Easter Egg hunt with AJ. I relaxed on the couch as my legs were ruined from the marathon. Dad massaged some kind of ointment into them that helped.

Ran my first marathon in training. Mix I'd drizzle and dry, legs gave out at 30km and had to walk a lot of the last 10k. Finished in 5h 20m, and was absolutely destroyed.

Bought a foam roller for my knee that's being a pain when I want to do my marathon attempt  weekend. Got over charged, and to go back int BigW at Chermside to get a refund.

Alex, Dylan, and Christina came over for a Mexican themed Easter Feast. After we watched 'The Hot Ones' on YouTube for both Scarlet Johansen and Gordon Ramsey, then Dylan left me his HTC vive. I set it up and tried Project Cars 2 - which was amazing, but it made me feel very nauseous.

Late release planning for these priority Node v8 updates with Dai, Duy, and Joel . Couldn't get them out tonight on time - will wait until after the Easter long weekend.

First sim race with the SimXP guys. Races a GT3 Toyota 86 at Okanoya (spelling?) Qualified 17th out of 22, which I was happy enough with. Ran out of fuel in the first race and didn't know how to sort that out. Second race was doing ok, but got punted off while in 6th place - ended up clawing back to be third last.

Rode to work, then heard a funny ring from my bag. Pulled over and realized I had Julie's phone. Turned back, swapped phones - and rode into work.

Watched the first episode of season 8 of Game of Thrones with Julie tonight, after having chick pea and pumpkin curry for dinner. Played sim racing after, started practising GT3 with the 86 to prepare for the first championship I'm going to try

Drove to Jon and Lauren's to play D&D with the guys - didn't quite finish the quest about the spiders and Goblins in the cave. Ran a sub 46m 10k tonight, which felt great given my leg is still being fussy about running

After looking at houses went to The Brickhouse to see Nathan. Talked to Alex and Slav, before driving up Nebo with Alex and Nath. Dropped AJ off at Dad and Tiz's, before heading to Big Dave and Robyn's for a party - where we spent most of the night talking to Tom and Kri sten

Work up early and got AJ to draw on Julie's birthday card, before I gave her my gift - perfume in the shape of a handbag. Chinese take our dinner. She just wanted to watch a movie alone, so I ate Me Goring flavoured chips.

Met the new Magento technical team, including Megan for the first time. Spend the day rolling back all carriers released, turned into a crazy day on the phone to Mark often. Drove to Chermside after work and got Julie perfume for her birthday. Went to see David Forster afterward, but had to cut that short after watching crossfit videos to sort out more Vietnam release stuff.

Calls late at work - accidentally browsed Facebook while presenting the new VN/FR structure to Mark and Fred. Gym after work, chatted the regular gym lady who forgot which locker she out her stuff into.

Came home with Ba Ngoi and Mum at home. Mum looked after AJ as Julie and I went to see 'The Book of Mormon' at the Lyric Theatre. AJ out Julie's keys in her mums handbag.

Home late - went out for a run straight away, and did a 22m 5k loop around the hospital.

Drove to two open homes, car drive well - first time I've felt like I have full confidence it's exactly as it should be. Went to Ted's birthday party at Chermside MacDonalds, and in the afternoon to Luci's birthday at The Gap where I spent a bunch of time talking to Adrien and Rhodri - before coming home to mind AJ. Passed out early, felt exhausted.

Management session on NeuroCapability - following by finalising the VN/FR plan and getting the support scaling plan moving. Bit of friction in my 1:1 with a particular team member, still working on how I can get through to him - but it did send me home in a bit of bad mood. Watched 'Triple Frontier' on Netflix with Julie.

First day covering sprint review and retro with Spectrum as Dan was off all week with back issues. Was an intense day, but I felt it went well. Did the 'Bring out your dead' retro for them, for a bit of fun.

Long day, first round of preparing the VN and FR team transition with Mark. Went to the gym, then came home late - sinking into the couch and just relaxing.

Got Poco Posy flowers sent to Julie at home to celebrate our third wedding anniversary - she didn't like them very much. Home at a reasonable time, helped cook the marinated chicken for our first week of a new diet.

Cleaned the house and drove up Mooloolaba for a coffee, and to let AJ play in the playground there. Walked on the rocks a little with him, before driving back to Brisbane

Weather was good - after a lazy start to the day, spent the afternoon at the beach. Ran with Andy through the Noosa headland, was tough going up and down the hills. Came back and made sandcastles with Alicia and AJ

Really rainy day - spent most of it lounging around the holiday house at Sunshine Beach. Briefly went out to get groceries in the rain at Noosa, parked near a Lamborghini Urus and had AJ run through the heavy rain.
